Decisions-making strategies and psychological treatment: A case study

Abstract |
Behaviour therapy has developed an important number of cognitive-behaviour methods for treating and preventing physical and psychological health problems. Among these techniques, problems solving methods (D Zurilla y Goldfried, 1971) are one of the more frequently used due to its versatile application areas. It is presented the case on a patient with important levels of anxiety because of a bad method for solving socials problems. Because of the high levels of cognitive and psychological anxiety deactivation and cognitive methods were also needed for integral intervention. The post-treatment results and follow-up are also addressed.
