A frame work programme for psychological intervention in AIDS-HIV patients

Abstract |
The present article presents a psychological intervention programme with HIV/AIDS affected people, which has been elaborated in 1994/95 by a Colegio Oficial de Psicólogos committee, working in AIDS and drug-adiction, following the authors ant others previous researches. The programme essential point consists in the definition of four basic moments in the psychological intervention: HIV analysis preparation, results analysis communication, affected people psychological treatment, and finally, preparation for death. We have defined in every moment, the kind of the intervention, their objectives, psychological techniques, professional team, evaluation and duration. After a justification about the necessity and urgency of the psycological intervention, we expose every moments and end with our conclusions.
