Subjective indicators of adaptation to training and their relationship with biological markers

Resumen
The relationship between regular physical activity and health has been found to follow a doseresponse pattern; excessive training load induces the so called “overtraining syndrome” which is characterized by persistent fatigue and a decrease in performance. A number of studies have intended to determine appropriate indicators in order to identify sportspersons in the initial stages of distress and to prevent its advance. In this study, a questionnaire of psychobehavioral signs has been employed to analyze the adaptation to training in elite sportspersons. Reliability and validity of this questionnaire have been studied, as well as its relationships with other subjective and biological markers proposed in the literature.
