Stress physiological reactivity: Introduction to the special issue

Introduces a monograph on physiological adaptation to stress and considers stress from a psychobiological adaptation viewpoint. Current and past definitions of physiological reactivity to stress are reviewed, and theoretical models and their applications presented in the monograph are summarized.
