This inventory assesses three anxiety responses systems (cognitive, autonomic-physiological and motor) and four specific areas in flight training: 1) anxiety in flight manoeuvres, 2) anxiety in performance of flight manoeuvres, 3) anxiety during the evaluation of flying training execution, and 4) anxiety related to confidence-level and other commitments. 161 Spanish Air Force Academy undergraduate cadets´ completed this inventory; in addition, subjects completed the State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and the Inventory of Situations and Responses of Anxiety (ISRA). The results showed that IMESRAV demostrated good internal consistency, validity and reliability. We conclude that IMESRAV is a psychometrically sound method for measuring anxiety in flying training}, year = {1997}, journal = {Ansiedad y Estrés}, volume = {3}, number = {1}, pages = {77-86}, month = {01/1997}, publisher = {Sociedad Española para el Estudio de la Ansiedad y el Estrés}, issn = {1134-7937}, isbn = {2174-0437}, }
