Fernández-Abascal AU - Francisco Palmero AU - Mª Dolores Martín Díaz AB - The characteristics of cardiovascular reactivity are revised: response magnitude, temporary stability, emotional characteristics, psychophysiological parameters and the conditions under those that are carried out the measures. An experimental study is presented on 32 normotensives subject. This study examined the cardiovascular effects of active and passive coping on pulse transit time, heart rate, and skin conductance. Active coping enhances cardiovascular response presumably by beta-adrenergically mediated myocardial activation.
