AB - The present review approaches the contributions of cognitive therapy to the behavioural treatment of anxiety disorders. First, general principles of cognitive theory related to anxiety are discussed. Second, contributions to the specific models of as panic disorder, hypochondria, social phobia, generalized anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder are reviewed.
