TY - JOUR KW - Stress KW - cognitive irritation KW - emotional irritation KW - Teachers AU - Enrique Merino Tejedor AU - Miguel Ángel Pedraza AB - The purpose of the present article is to explore the factor validity of the Irritation Scale in a sample of 106 Primary School teachers. Exploratory factor analysis was carried out, using Principal Components and Oblimin rotation; two factors were extracted from the analysis with eigenvalues exceeding unity. Factor I, gathered items related to emotional irritation, whereas factor II consisted of three items concerning cognitive irritation. Factor solution found in this research was similar to that obtained in previous national and international investigations. Thus, Primary School teachers results show that Irritation Scale offers both a consistent factor structure compared to the original proposal and a sound internal consistency.
