Management program applied to Air Force Academy cadets a277-2850 v13 aIn the present paper we show the practical use of cognitive-behavioral treatments, in order to solve the problems caused by airsickness in the first stages during future Air Force Academy pilots flight training. We also carry out a revision on the suitability of the different approaches applied to this field, especially pharmacological therapy. On the other hand, we assess the management programs used in this field by the Air Forces from different western countries: USAF, RCAF, RAF and Luftwatfe. Finally, we go through the results of the application of our own management program. In this program we put forward as an innovation, the development of new balance and motion sickness physiological training techniques. These techniques imply a lesser cost, because progressive desensitization using sofisticated instruments (Bárány s chair) is not essential. a1134-7937 a2174-0437
