Vila00aA brief review on the main self-report instruments in measuring hostility a89-1090 v103 aThe self-report measures are very important in the study of the relationship between coronary heart disease (EC) and the construct of hostility/anger/aggression (HIA). There are some problems in the measurement of this construct, that create difficulties in the study of such relationship. We think that these problems can be due both to the disagreement existing in respect to the definition of the construct and to the use of different instruments without a previous verification of their psychometric properties. Although we have found a high number of instruments to evaluate this construct in the literature, we are not going to describe the most of them. In this sense we provide information on some measure instruments of this construct, which we expect that clarify if these instruments evaluate the different components of the construct with adequate psychometric properties. a1134-7937 a2174-0437
